Jenn from the block
One day I was searching on ebay for a vintage AC/DC t-shirt. I couldn't find any and I was really sad. By some weird stroke of weirdness, I came upon Smith and Pooter. What the heck was Smith and Pooter? What were those bizarre photo's all about? Invisible shirt? What the? This required some investigating. OH MY GOSH! A Marty Robbins t-shirt! I must have it! After reading the description, laughing my ass off, and consequently bidding on it, I decided to investigate further. I was inexplicably forced to read about every t-shirt and found myself in that goofy zone of the giggles. I also ended up spending a lot of money. I am not sure if I bought my shirts because I liked them, or because I was told to burn all my other shirts. I was captivated, almost hypnotized. The feedback left for me was inspirational and heartwarming. No one was ever this kind to me. After the honeymoon period and, like, 10 shirts, I really started admiring the creative writing skills. I admire anyone who can make me smile or laugh and make me buy something at the same time. This skill was usually strictly reserved for bartenders.
I was pretty excited upon seeing the new website and checked back often for new stuff. I saw the pitch for Volunteer writers and wondered if I was worthy. Could I find the courage and ability to write again? Did I have anything interesting to write about? What the hell, I thought. I wrote to Josh and offered my limited skills thinking there was no way he'd actually use anything. To my surprise, he used my very first article titled "Groupies". Wowie kazowie! I must not be that bad, maybe I could write another one. I was feeling particularly discriminated against one day and wrote "Yeah I'm Blonde". Being a true blonde is not easy, and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to speak my mind on the issue. So that's what I'm doing. I'm just an odd, crazy blonde, photographer writing about the weird shit I experience. I have found a comfy little niche here at Smith and Pooter and hope to write lots more, despite making myself look like an ass.
Cheers!
